Ingredients
- 12 oz or 1 1/2 cups of peanut butter (no sugar or oil added – I recommend 365 brand)
- 3 bananas
- 2/3 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes for sprinkling on top (optional)
- Sea salt for sprinkling on top (optional)
- Handful of chopped almonds for sprinkling on top (optional)
Instructions
- Line: Line 12″x9″ baking pan lined with parchment paper.
- Prep: Slice 3 bananas and lay banana rounds over lined pan.
- Spread 1 1/2 cups of peanut butter over bananas. Sprinkle with 1 tsp cinnamon.
- Freeze: Freeze bars for 1 hour. (You can skip this step, but freezing does make spreading the chocolate easier).
- Melt chocolate: Add 2/3 cup chocolate chips and 1/2 tbsp coconut oil to a small sauce pan and melt over low heat. Once heated, pour chocolate over bars and spread with the back of a spoon. Sprinkle with coconut flakes and sea salt if desired.
- Freeze: Freeze bars for 1 hour.
- Plate: Slice into 16 bars. Enjoy or save for later!
